As a result of position changes in Student Affairs, there is an opening for an Interim Admission Representative.  The interim position will be up to a year upon appointment.
 
This position exists to recruit and retain students based on the annual college and programs recruitment and retention goals.  The overall objective of this position is to coordinate, implement, and evaluate all activities that educate and inform prospects, parents, and referral agencies, in addition to assisting with the academic advising process.  The admissions representative serves as a spokesperson for the college through presentations, meetings, and communications with prospective students, counselors, and community referrals. 
 
Some responsibilities of the position include:
 
A.      Effectively welcomes and serve walk-ins.
B.      Represents the college at tradeshows, college fairs, job fairs, and education fairs.
C.      Prepares for and carries out high school visits.
D.      Organizes and conducts campus tours for individuals and groups.
E.       Creates and delivers presentations on the college for a variety of audiences.
F.       Seeks out and maintains a thorough understanding of college programs, curriculum, and services to give accurate information to prospective students and parents.
G.     Answers questions from prospective students in oral and written forms.
H.      Pre-enrollment Advising for students to ensure students are well prepared to be successful during their first term of enrollment.
 
This is a full time position with typical work hours of 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday; however, hours may vary depending on recruitment needs (i.e. there may be some evening and Saturday hours).
 
This person must have good customer/student service skills, be attentive to details, and work well with others in a team setting.  The ability to present in front of large groups is a plus.
